IPM and IWM
IPM and IWMWe use IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and IWM (Integrated Weed Management) which significantly reduces the amount of chemical products used each year. This is the biggest step towards attaining a cost effective “Green Landscape”.
IPM starts with monitoring properties once a week to inspect pest and disease thresholds. Each week we keep detailed records on each property about insects, diseases and weed populations. IPM will also include monitoring irrigation and drainage concerns. We can help to adjust irrigation needs to plant requirements and seasonal evaporation rates.
IPM also includes supervision of mechanical measures. The major reason for the decline of many turf areas is poor mowing practices. We will help to oversee appropriate practices and help to correct problems resulting in reducing pest and disease issues.
We use IWM by following recommended fertility practices, pre-emergent herbicides and spot treating weeds. This helps control the cost and use of herbicides.
•Products and Qualifications
Products and Qualifications When control products are used we use three forms of applications, Organic, Contact and Systemic. This gives us great flexibility with every application. We use the most updated and effective control products on the market.
Our technicians have extensive knowledge of plant varieties that are vulnerable to disease and pests. We also have a good understanding of a pest’s life cycle, which allows for more effective control. Our technicians are licensed and have completed Pesticide Applicator Training for 5 CEU credits in compliance with all state laws and regulations.
